Well, it's been about a year since I made an entry in this blog!  Part of that is the old adage that it's easy to start a blog but difficult to keep it going.  I have another excuse however, as there are very strict rules here at Oracle about what we are allowed to say about features before they appear in a production release.

Well, the good news is that JDeveloper 11.1.2 has been released and is available on OTN (Press Release, Download).  This is a major release for us, packed with new features, including improved design-time performance, JSF 2.0 support, Hudson CI integration, Skin Editor, Thematic map, hot reload, REST support, Maven, and much more (New Features).

For the database tools in JDeveloper, the list of new features is here, and I hope to be blogging about a few of these in the future now that the release is out.  In the meantime, please download the brand spanking new JDeveloper and check it out to see what we have been up to!
